About Me
My name is Anna Holm, and I am originally from Skælskør, Denmark. I am currently in my final year of studying at The Royal Danish Academy in Craft Glass and Ceramics, with major in Ceramics.
My ceramics are all about intuition, experimentation, and the joy of tactile experiences. Every piece I make is meant to brighten someone's day and add a little something special to their everyday life. I want my creations to go beyond just being useful; I aim for them to evoke feelings, create experiences, and bring happiness to those who use them.
Nature is my biggest inspiration, especially the complex details you find in trees, leaves, and moss. Their structure, surfaces and colors, fascinate me, and I aim to integrate these elements into my work, and into people's homes and daily routines.
Working with clay is a collaborative process—a dialogue between myself and the material. When it comes to ceramic glazes, I love diving into the unknown, always exploring new effects and surprises. It's a journey filled with inspiration and excitement as I play with different materials and techniques.
Craftsmanship and skill are at the heart of what I do. Ultimately, my goal as a ceramist is to create pieces that bring emotional connection, and a sense of joy to the lives of those who use them.
